FILM AS MEDIA COMMUNICATION OF SOCIAL VALUE

Abstract


ABSTRACT

This study aims to know students’ ability in designing learning media, to convey social message, to comprehend social value through film. This study employed descriptive qualitative method. The participants was students at the third semester of indonesia Langugae and art department  of STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung. Having conducted the research, this study found thatfilm is kind of learning media that beneficial for students. Through film, students are able to foster creativity in designing media for learning such short film, students are able to deliver social message through film that they have played, then they enjoy in understanding social value that showed in film. Consequently, film is effective media for communicating social value.
